Remember Fine Fare?

Saya masih ingat lagi semasa baru sampai di Blackpool dahulu para seniors telah memberi tunjuk ajar on how to survive di negara asing - more specifically, how to live in Blackpool.

Roslan, Roshid, Majid, etc. etc. thank you so much.

The other reason is of course kerana ia terletak bersebalahan stesen bas di Talbot Road. Easy transportation.

Semasa melawat Blackpool baru-baru ni saya dapati supermarket kesayangan kita tu dah diganti dengan operator lain. Syarikat Fine Fare dengar cerita dah bungkus!

  1. With your photos those of us who have never been back to Blackpool could at least see how our 'kampung' has changed over the years. When I first arrived we were told that we could buy kosher products at a shop by the name of 'Spitfire' or so I heard it was though it seemed weird because I knew it is the name of a British fighter plane in WW2.So we went about town asking around for the shop and of course we got some funny looks.Anyway we did find the kosher shop but it turned out the name was 'FoodFayre'.

  2. During our 1st year, our regular American long grain rice supplier was from Tesco Bispham. Remember going to Fine fare when it first opened. The crowd was tfantastic. At the time Fine Fare was the biggest supermarket in Blackpool and we were lucky to be staying 10 mins walk from it.

  4. That car park is not above Fine fare, its above the Talbot Rd Bus station, the Fine fare was infront of the bus station.

My last visit to Blackpool was in November, 2009. It was cold as ever, but I could smell that Blackpool smell that really brought back sweet memories of my college days as a teenager back then 1978-1980. I managed to see our old residences, Charles St, Church St, Norbreck Rd, Hodgson Rd, I walked from 22,Norbreck Rd to Blackpool College via Guildford Ave then crossed that massive rugby field before reaching the College, Just imagine how I felt then feeling the cold reminising those days having to cross the field everyday.

Next trip I want to take the No.9 bus from Talbot Rd Bus Station to College at Ashfield Rd, he he.
